THE BEACH SESSION

Romantic Sunsets on the
Southern California Coast

📍Laguna Beach // Malibu

There's something about the ocean that makes everything feel more alive and free. The sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, the way the sky changes colors depending on the day. If you're the kind of couple who feels most like yourselves with sand between your toes and being near water, this is your session.

Mood: Romantic // Relaxed // Playful

Tones: Warm (Golden hour) // Cool (Blue hour)

This session is designed around the beauty of experiencing a sunset together at the beach — when the light turns golden to blue and your whole world slows down.

THE EXPERIENCE

Our session starts on a warm afternoon. We spend the first part just hanging out and getting comfortable — playing, exploring, and settling into the joy you feel when you're somewhere you love with someone you love. We could take a walk through the park overlooking the ocean, we could lay out a blanket and share a drink, get silly and tackle each other in the water, anything you would naturally enjoy on a date together to feel connected.

But the magic happens when the sun starts to set, and everything changes. The scenery gradually shifts from warm to cool, harsh to soft lighting, and then completely dark all in a hour. As the colors and lighting shift, the energy also shifts from playful to something a little more romantic: you reach for each other without thinking about it, you slow down mid-walk to watch the sky, you put your head on their shoulder and share a comfortable silence. You're more relaxed, more like yourselves, more in your own little world.

Blue hour is the quiet finale. The sky goes this deep, luminous blue, the waves keep coming, and everything slows down. It's one of those moments that sneaks up on you — suddenly you're standing there thinking this is really beautiful and meaning way more than just the view.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Location Scouting

Taking photos in a public place is already hard enough, but having a crowd watching you will make it even harder. That’s why I invested a lot of time and energy finding the best spots and times to make sure it’s more private than personal, while not sacrificing the view. I’ll even have a list of good spots to eat or grab a drink after our session!

Scene Styling

The beach is just a base, all the details we add in is what’ll make it uniquely yours. We can add a blanket, a cold fizzy drink, some fruit and snacks, maybe even paint or play a board game if you’re into that. This is the fun part where we can collaborate and get creative!

Full edited gallery

Every gallery is hand-edited to fit the scenery and lighting — no presets slapped on in bulk. You'll receive your gallery within 2 weeks.

Print + Web Ready Files

High-resolution downloads included for every image. Frame them, share them, or add a photo book as an upgrade.

COMMON QUESTIONS

  • Yes — and honestly, dogs make everything better. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan the session around them.

  • Overcast light is actually beautiful for portraits — soft, even, and flattering. I'll only recommend rescheduling if there's rain or extreme wind.

  • It depends on the session length and what we end up creating together, but typically 50–75 fully edited images per hour. Quality over quantity is always the priority.
